Although I own these books, I don't necessarily recommend them all. If you are a translator and want to know what I think of a dictionary before you buy it, feel free to ask. Languages of bilingual and multilingual dictionaries are indicated. If you are a potential client, check to see what resources I have relevant to your project. Of course I also use the Internet extensively for terminology research.

I also have comprehensive dictionaries in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Latin that are not listed here. (I don't translate from all those languages, but they creep into German and English text from time to time.) My reference library for genealogical translation is listed separately.

In many cases a more recent edition is available than what I have.
